The Alabama offense was struggling in the first half of the National Championship Game Monday night against Georgia. At halftime Coach Nick Saban made an unlikely change calling on true freshman QB Tua Tagovailoa to take the helm of the Tide offense. The first couple of drives it didn't appear this was a good decision either with some bad passes but eventually the offense started to click. Eventually the game was tied up and with a couple of seconds left on the clock Bama's place kicker missed a game winning field goal so the game went into OT. Georgia went up 23-20 on a made field goal. The Tide took over and the first play resulted in a loss of a bunch of yards on a sack. The very next play was a 41-yard TD strike from Tua Tagovailoa to another true freshman DeVonta Smith. The beautiful pass can be seen below.
